Announcing the lost unicorn forest photo contest winners!
We finally have a decision by the judges on the winning pictures of the Lost Unicorn Forest Photo Contest! Thank you for your patience while waiting for the results. We were looking for creative pictures that captured the beauty of Lost Unicorn Forest Sanctuary sim…and we definitely found them! I want to thank every single person who entered their pictures, they were all beautiful and winners in my book…and I’m so happy to have so many additions to our group pool now!
I also want to thank our fabulous 9 judges who determined the winning pictures, great job in choosing based on the criteria! I know it was tough…all of them said so! We ended up with the 3 1st, 2nd and 3rd Place and 8 Honorable Mentions!! It was so hard to narrow them down as it is and they could not any further!

Beautiful, amazing, epic are words that come to mind with John’s landscape. He truly captured the beauty of the sim just within the small area he photographed. His use of color, lighting, shadows and reflections all composed together in one piece is absolutely stunning!

Serei’s picture is one of those that causes a person to do a double take. It captures the sim in a beautifully composed and creative way plus looks like a painting!

This picture may not be a landscape, but it definitely captures the MAGIC that is in every corner of Lost Unicorn! Full of color, fun and great work with the lighting!

Razor, man of many faces, portrayed a beautiful part of the sim and made it look misty, mysterious and full of wonder. Makes you wonder what he’s about to do….
On My Way Home by Trixie Bumbo
A story is being told here….is she arriving home from a long journey? Where did she go? What will she do? Beautifully composed and great use of the avatar….still with the focus on the sim 🙂
Titan Territory by Orion Octave
Another story about to unfold….the ent and the elf are on alert and guarded. I wonder what it is or what they are about to do? Great storytelling while incorporating the sim criteria.

Simply a stunning, beautiful capture of the most magical and mythical creatures at Lost Unicorn! The colors and lighting are gorgeous!
Opening for artist igielka sunday 9/20 at 1pm!
Come join us at The Lost Unicorn Gallery for our Opening event for artist Igielka! We will be showing a large selection of her beautiful fantasy pieces, several she created just for this show. Igielka loves to explore in SL and showcase those locations with her unique ability to make any scene look absolutely amazing and special…with or without an avie. She accomplishes this by using the perfect pose for a scene and then combines that with a well thought out composition and angle of the overall picture. She uses soft tones and lighting to make each piece enchanting with lots of depth. You can tell she has a special fondness for all kinds of animals as they are also shown in many of her pictures.

Music during the event is provided by vocalist Nina Setner.
Nina’s been singing in SL since the dark ages (2007!), but she wouldn’t have it any other way! A musical chameleon, she brings you jazz and pop song stylings inspired by greats like Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Cass Elliot, Karen Carpenter and more! More importantly, she ties it all together with her own special flair to bring you a night (or day) of song you won’t forget!

Enter our Lost Unicorn Forest Sanctuary Photo Contest! We are looking for original, creative pictures that capture the beauty of the sim. It can be a picture with or without avatars…just keep in mind that the focus is on the sim.
Guidelines
1. The pictures MUST be taken on LOST UNICORN sim only (ground level)
2. You may submit up to 2 pictures
3. Pictures may be raw, edited or photoshopped
4. No nudity allowed (no private parts showing or sexual acts)
5. Please submit pictures by midnight SL time on Monday, September 21

Lost Unicorn Forest Grand Reopening Celebration!
Come join us this Saturday at noon for our Grand Reopening of Lost Unicorn Elven Village at the forest! Nessa has renovated the entire quarter sim with a whole new lay out and look. I don’t want to say too much, but I think you will love it….it is truly stunning!
We will have DJ Thomas Crown at the sim playing 70’s and 80’s tunes mixed with some elven and Celtic music. We will also be introducing a sim wide photo contest! Hope to see you there 🙂
