Enchantment’s Kitsune Tales Begins Today! Enter the Photo Contest!

Kitsune are legendary yokai (spirits/demons) that often possess mystic powers, shape-shift, possess mortal bodies and are tricksters. There are a wide variety of tales about the fox spirit in Japanese folklore as well as appearing in modern media like Anime, Manga, and Fiction fantasy books so we could not pick just one tale.

We will leave this up to you to decide how you wish to depict Kitsune. The most famous Japanese Kitsune is Tamamo no Mae and is a great place to start. While we are focusing on the Japanese version of the fox spirit you are more than welcome to use any fox spirit from around the world as inspiration.

Guidelines….

1. Please enter your pictures based on the theme, KITSUNE TALES.

2. You may submit up to 2 pictures

3. Pictures may be raw, edited or photoshopped

4. No nudity allowed (no private parts showing or sexual acts)

5. Please submit pictures by midnight SL time on Sunday, May 31

6. Submit to the Flickr group link below (labeled “contest entry”):
