Enter Enchantment’s The Iliad and The Odyssey Photo Contest!
The Iliad and The Odyssey by Homer are the earliest works of Western literature and are the wellspring for much of Western culture. Both stories are considered Epic literature due to the scope in size of the events taking place within the story. It is believed that “Homer” was not one person but multiple people who wrote these epic tales.
The Iliad focuses on some of the significant events of the final weeks of the Trojan War and the Greek siege of the city of Troy. The Odyssey takes the fall of the city of Troy (the end of the Iliad) as its starting point and crafts a new epic around the struggle of one of those Greek warriors, the hero Odysseus.
Enter your pictures for this round of Enchantment’s The Iliad and The Odyssey Photo Contest! Pictures will be judged based on creativity, originality and staying within the theme. Most of all, have fun with it!
Guidelines….
1. Please enter your pictures based on the theme, THE ILIAD AND THE ODYSSEY.
2. You may submit up to 2 pictures
3. Pictures may be raw, edited or photoshopped
4. No nudity allowed (no private parts showing or sexual acts)
5. Please submit pictures by 11:59pm SL time on Sunday, March 6.

Valentine’s Party in the Forest Sunday at Noon!
Come join us Sunday, the 13th for a special Valentine’s celebration at Finian’s Foraois (Lost Unicorn sim)!
The amazing Semina will be singing for us from noon to 1pm! We will also have special music by none other than DJ Toya from 1 to 2pm! Both will be at the “party” area on the west side of the sim at the top of the stairs 🙂
Come walk the forest as you enjoy the music. We look forward to seeing you!

Exhibition Honoring the Memory of Amber Wild This Saturday, 1/15 at 12 noon!
I think most of us here in Flickr were touched in some way by Amber Wild. She had an amazing stream of beautiful, imaginative pictures with her focus on headshots and portraits. More than her gorgeous artwork, she had a heart as big as life and loved supporting others in their creative endeavors. From all new artists to well established, Amber always took the time to comment and encourage others with their artwork. She was an amazing presence and supporter of the arts and will never be forgotten.
Serina and Aziza Rose recently approached me about honoring Amber’s memory with an exhibition of her pictures. Of course I was touched and honored to be a part of such a wonderful project!
Please stop in for our Opening on Saturday 1/15 at noon and view a beautiful collection of Amber’s artwork in honor of her memory. DJ Toya will be playing music for the event.

7th Annual All Artist Christmas Show Opening This Sunday at 10am!
The Lost Unicorn Gallery is having its 7th Annual All Artist Christmas/winter Exhibition this Sunday the 12th from 10am to 12pm! We’re making it a tradition every Christmas to support animal rights as well as displaying pictures that include animals in them…it’s all about our furry friends! ❤ Many of the gallery artists have submitted all new, unposted pictures which are being sold in support of the Animal Advocacy organization FRIEND OF ANIMALS 🙂 100% of all sales will go directly to their cause. The gallery will also match any sales of the pictures.
DJ Toya will be playing a mix of music including Christmas songs to get you in the spirit of the season!
